I had such a fabulous morning: you can't imagine how much fun I had and how much satisfaction I got from playing with one of the guest's dog the morning after a friend's birthday gathering I mentioned yesterday. I love dogs. I love pugs. I love dogs who play like dogs, because my dog doesn't. Thank you, Dania the pug, for the morning full of fun. He's pictured below, not to be confused with my most favorite pug in the world named Barcy - the beautiful lady pictured above.
(The glass of wine is not mine. Having read jeune_premier's recent blog post on table etiquette, I want to point out that even it being a house party I don't let people fill my glass more than it should be filled - I like it when everything's done just right.)
P.S. Some of you already know that all sorts of weird coincidences are constantly present in my life. So I just blogged about the most delicious berry dessert I've ever had yesterday in the anticipation of fantastic edible goodies that were to come later... Now what do you think was one of the dessert options? You guessed it, I had the most amazing homemade berry pie yesterday!
lol! Dogs are so fun, my mom wont let us have one though =(
ReplyDeleteWell, the biggest I was allowed to have is my chihuahua... That's why my crazy love for dogs has never been satisfied lol
ReplyDeleteso cute!
ReplyDelete.. oh my God ..I can't believe you have this post today .. yesterday I watched one of the most emotional movies about dogs .. and it's based on true story , I spent half of the movie sobbing ..the story hurt me so much .. " HACHIKO " is the film ..
ReplyDeleteEllinelle, I heard about the movie! Supposed to be very sad, yes.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute dog!
ReplyDeleteI love that sentence you wrote, "i love dogs who play like dogs" ! That is so true! I never knew why it was I didn't like certain dogs, and why I like others...but I think you just figured it out for me! There is something so refreshing, endearing, and wonderful about a dog who is wacky, sloppy, happy, lovey, cuddly, crazy, and energetic. That's the way they suppos'd to beee! haha!
ReplyDeleteWow, that berry pie coincidence in freaky, yet wonderful!!! Also thank you for the comment on my blog about the shape of my lips in that photo, reflecting the spirit of my blog. I never even noticed that, and when I read your comment I was like "Whoa, this girl has an amazing talent for being able to visually dissect an image and find correlations within them" So awesome!!! You should be a film director ;)
awwww....he's so cute! adorable! :D
ReplyDeleteMy neighbor's have to ancient pugs. They are ginormously chunky, but they sure are sweet! Speaking of sweet, you little chi is so precious :)
ReplyDeletei love dogs....i miss mine!!:(
ReplyDeleteglad to see that except from me and other people knows what's right...in fact i had no doubt about you Julia!
Talk about funny coincidences--yesterday was the annual "Pug Parade" at Lakewood Ranch, a community that sits right next door to us. People decorate their pugs with different themed costumes and can "win" prizes of sorts. My friend has an adopted pug they dressed up as "Pugcasso," a famous cubist artist pug. :) They won honorable mention out of all the zillions of pugs that went parading down the street. What a bizarre event! But always fun to hear about.
ReplyDeleteSo cute... I've been wanting a pug for so long.
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is the funniest thing I've seen all day. What a face!
ReplyDeletePlaying with animals puts us back in touch with who we really are. Forget all this posturing and fancy clothes: we really just want to be romping around and acting silly :)
ah... adorable.
ReplyDeleteI want one SOOO BADLY! I just moved into a pet-friendly building.. maybe I can finally convince the bf it's time... that pug is so adorable!
ReplyDeletePS ~ I just wanted to say 'thank you' Julia for that last comment. It was so interesting to hear your take on American culture and how your perspective came about. Our culture is contagious, I guess, like a disease. haha... But seriously, considering that you live so far away, I am in AWE of your references and grasp on the language. You amaze me, 'Julia oh Julia' ;)
ReplyDeleteToo too cute. My son has a stuffed pug looking very much like the above photo :)
ReplyDeleteheart charlie, you've just described the pug I got to play with yesterday morning! He was all that and I had soo much fun :) Glad I could help you to figure out why you like certain dogs more than others :) lol And thank you so much for the film director compliment! It can pretty much serve as another coinsidence... Getting back to you with this one on your blog in a minute!
ReplyDeleteMother of Style, thank you! :)
Gropius, what did I tell you? When it comes to me, it's all about coinsidences, so you better be ready haha The pug parade sounds like a cuteness overload in action... Would love to see! I love the Pugcasso idea :)
Graham, true that! It's like going back in touch with your own inner child, because dogs are really just like kids :) And thanks to YOU for asking me about the thing... I thnink I'd been thinking about it for maybe 2 days after and actually remembered something I lonf forgot, so thank you :)
wonderfelle, good luck :)
Arty, stuffed pugs are almost as cute as the real ones lol Hopefully he's not asking for a real one yet? Might be a problem with you having a cat already :)

Haha cute! I thought they were the ugliest creatures when I first saw them, but the more you look at them, the more they grow on you =)
ReplyDeletethe dog is really lovely, Julia! it is so well-groomed, too, the fur must be very smooth!
ReplyDelete... and i want the salad in the final picture :)
Thanks, Kumar and Vinda!
ReplyDeleteYJ, lol! I think it's their faces and facial expressions that make you eventually fall for them :)
I think pugs are so cute! I just want to cuddle them.
ReplyDeleteTreacle, I definately know what you mean :)
ReplyDeleteomfgggggggg. the pug is sooooooo cute!

Pugs are the cutest!! I heard they aren't too smart though. Is that true?
ReplyDeleteI love it that you named your dog RHETT BUTLER because Gone With the Wind is my all time favorite movie!
ReplyDeleteShannon, it kind of is. They're very friendly, sweet and cute, don't bark much and all, but they're hardly trainable. Just like chihuahuas lol No matter how much I tried to teach him things, he only know how to "sit" and even then he hardly ever does it properly.
ReplyDeleteKhatu, thanks a lot :) I loved his character, hoped my dog would be just as cool haha
