Rice

I am so very much thankful for rice, oh my!.. Totally my favorite grain and a side dish. I'm rice crazy - I love all types! Japanese, Egyptian, Italian risotto, Spanish paella, Indian curry rice, Chinese, Caribbean... All, except for how Russians cook it. Am I in the wrong country or what?..

  1. ...he he , it's true , to cook perfect rice you need to have few skils , well , at least to know how to really do it right ..in our countries people usually just boil the rice but it's not really how you do that, because the rice end up like a porridge ..for me it's been journey from the person who never cooked in her life ( not proud of it really ) to the person that can cook for full dinner party : ) and thats thanks to my boyfriend who teached me that and also to his wonderful dad ..I can cook any indian food , especialy the rice , curry and one of most delish dessert Ras malai ..I like that indian rice is full of flavour with so many spices in it ..oh God , I could talk and talk about that : )I always try to show everything to my family as well as they not familiar with such food ..he he ..
but I really like the indian rice and chinese egg fried rice also - but egg fried rice I'm have not cooked yet myself but I really wan't to learn as well ..

  2. Mmmmmm, I love rice too! But being Korean, it's pretty much a staple in our diet. I don't know how I could eat without it! How do Russians cook their rice?

Rice is pretty amazing, though. I particularly like it in Asian desserts.
