I'm thankful for the charmingly narrow old European streets. We don't have those in Moscow, so I guess it makes it so much easier to appreciate them, but I do, and definitely like taking pictures of them too!
Gets a little claustrophobic too if the street happens to be too crowded hehe But I agree, I love walking so always happy when presented with such an opportunity!
PS... I was outside tonight thinking, "I'm thankful for stargazing. It always makes me feel so full of life." Just thought this would be a good place to share that.
Yes, I'd say it's the best place to share that :) Thank you!! And I think you just gave me an idea for another thankful post... You know, I still have 10 more months to go lol
I love the charm of European streets as well! We definitely don't have many of these in the US, which I find very unfortunate. I lived in a little town in Germany for a year, and it had some beautiful streets in it, just like your pictures. Where did you visit?
I've never been to Italy, but Barcelona is a beautiful city! In Germany, I lived in a little hilltop town called Cronenberg which was part of the city Wuppertal. You have probably never heard of it... nobody has! haha it's near Düsseldorf though. :)
Isn't it funny that I've heard of Cronenberg, but not of Wuppertal? :) And I definately know Düsseldorf! Have never been to Germany, by the way. Would like to see Munich.
But also a blessing, Shannon! having your apartment's windows open right into another person's apartment's windows can be a little... intimidating? lol
I appreciate you taking the time to connect and share your thoughts, so thank you for your comment! And while you're at it... Why not tell me what you're thankful for today? ;-)
I love the narrow streets in Europe... Aside from the aesthetic value, it's easy to navigate the small streets by foot.

ReplyDeleteI miss those streets.
ReplyDeleteEspecially in Venice, where it felt like a labyrinth with tiny bridges.
Ah I know! I haven't been in Venice, but it's on my must visit list!..

ReplyDeleteThe first picture's taken in Milan, Italy, the second and the third are both taken in Barcelona, Spain!

ReplyDeleteThey definitely don't have many of those in the States, which is a shame.

ReplyDeleteIn Italy some of our old little cities are entirely made of narrow streets.
ReplyDeleteMostly in Tuscany (near Florence, Siena, Lucca) where I was born.
