Nature and Its Creatures

For the most of my young life, I had never quite noticed most things around me, never quite gave all things nature much thought or time. Then something happened and it somehow happened to open my eyes to the world's true beauty, and I'm thankful for it.

  1. I feel more grounded when I bond with nature, particularly flowers. Aren't TREES just amazing, too? :)

Something amusing about flowers, if you're bored: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSb4UMeomGg#t=2m08s

(I'd skip to 2min 8sec if it doesn't do it for you.)

  3. Sometimes we tend to forget the small things that makes us smile... the birds chirping, the lone butterfly in the garden, the green leaves, a single flower about to bloom... oh I love nature.

  4. So true, Leah! It's the small thing we forget so easily, yet it's the simple things that make us the happiest a lot of times.

  5. This is beautiful. It looks like a Southeastern Lubber Grasshopper. We used to have tons of them at a nature center where I once worked. The young ones are actually black with a yellow line on the side.

  7. I'm really not sure what it is exactly, girls! Can be anything, all I know is that I took this picture in Miami, USA. It was our local "buddy" - we kept seeing it every time on our way to the beach for a few days lol
