Manners

I'm so thankful for people with manners. I'm not even talking extra polished table manners here, I'm talking just good ol' plain being polite sort of thing. When I'm carrying lots of grocery bags in both my hands, don't sneak in and close the door right in front of my nose, dude. You looked okay before you did that, but you have no idea how much you uglified yourself by being so rude. So let's celebrate people who are polite and know how to behave themselves!..

    Isn't it amazing to see how rude some fully grown people are? I know their mothers taught them better!... Or at least I hope so!

    it's very important for people to know how to behave...and as you Julia,i'm not talking about something exxtravagant but for simple,daily things that just makes our life better....

    Too true. It is really amazing how some people just have no consideration for others. But, if the shoe is on the other foot then they expect everything.

    YJ, I actually think that a lot of moms and dads really don't do their parenting job :( I've seen so many parents being extremely rude to their own kids that it just always made me wonder what kind of people those littel ones would grow up to be. All very sad.

    ..About manners ! I can say I'm so glad I live in england because here people are actualy very polite in so many situations ,even if I will bump in someone they will say ' sorry '- to me ..I hope it will go like that and tomorrow I will not have bad surprise after such nice words: )like it happen in life when you say good things .. BUT the car drivers everywhere are the same .. : )

    amen to that. i love polite people, too, i just find people with manners so much appealing because manners also show how smart they actually are. great post! i love how positive your blog is, Julia :)

    Arty, I set such people off by being either extra ridicuously polite or say something that gets to them by cover it by being seemingly naive haha When someone doesn't hold the door for you and then watch you run in front of them to hold the next door for them, and they see you all smiles and hear you saying "oh please please sir, come in" in an axtra polite manner they really have no idea what to do and it's so much fun to watch them being uncomfortable haha I then would with them and all tehir family and loved ones a super nice day and I wouldn't stop telling them all thsoe extra polite things until they're happily behind their own door haha But that time I just wasn't in the mood :) And the bags were heavy :)

    Ellinelle, I know what you're saying. I especially love Parisians for that.

    Khatu, I don't think chivalry is dead but it's often underrated and its importance is often overlooked, unfortunately.
