Cleaning

I really dislike cleaning. I think my mom is partly to blame for that, since her idea of making her kids love it eventually by involving me and my brother in house cleaning activities early on obviously seemed to work the opposite way. But anyways, as I was thinking about all of that while doing the housework earlier today, I realized it's wise to be thankful for vacuum cleaners, dishwashers and such. They do make a modern person's life a whole lot easier.

  2. Ugh I just wrote a long comment but my dumb computer's being all wonky so here's try #2!

My mom used to make me clean every weekend! I personally think it's child labor, but I guess although, like you and most people, I hate cleaning as well, I get in these moods every so often where I will clean everything from top to bottom. But anytime in between I will put it off until it can't be avoided! But yeah, can you imagine how much a pain it would be to have to do laundry and all that by hand? Ridiculous! =)

  3. mmhm.. I wish I had a dishwasher.. It's so annoying to wash dishes all the time... actually I should do it right now but instead.... i'm giving myself an excuse and surfing in blogs! XD

can I ask you in which city do you live? Just curious...;)

  4. YJ, oh how I loathe when that happens too... That's why I ahve this ridiculous habit os right clicking and saving like every 30 seconds lol Anyways, yeah, my mom got us involved very early on, and I think it'd be better if she made it go naturally, but I remember her always saying how it's going to be so good for us when we grow up... Maybe I expected too much, because I grew up and it didn't get any better lol

Café Naïveté, actually, I don't even use the dishwasher that much. Only if we've had guests over or something... I don't mind washing my own dishes as long as I do it right after I had my meal. If I let it stay even for 20 minutes I might never get back to it lol And I live in Moscow :)

  5. oh yes! I so agree with you.. washing it after eating is not so hard at all.
You live in Moscow!? Sounds wonderful! I actually have some relatives there and I've even been there once, when I was 9 years old I think.. and I think I loved it:D (Peter is also very lovely, they're really different) and the idea of Moscow is an idea of a very electrical and dynamic city.. :) what do you think of it yourself? (i even had a small idea of going to live in Russia for few months to improve my language.. it has got very louzy :S)

  6. True that! And once I get going on the cleaning, I feel good. Especially when things are clutter-free. We seem to go through vaccum cleaners like water. When we lose one, our life is hell until we suck it up to buy another one.

  9. lol, I can understand that! for me, sometimes, it remains so boring, that as "Café Naiveté" said, I find myself an excuse like surfing on the net.
Btw, my mom used to make me clean ; and, because of that, I can only tolerate a certain level of untidiness.
But, fortunately, I am not a "Bree Van de kamp" person, lol

  13. Café Naïveté, oh woah, relatives in Russia and you speak Russian?? How unexpected but how cool! :) Getting back to you on it at your blog in a jiffy!

Ellinelle, I was kind of hoping someone would say that! lol You'd make a perfect wife! If I was a man or just to marry a woman I'd want someone just like you haha And btw, I used to have this sort of an obsession with number 3... Used to drive me crazy too, so forced myself into giving up the weird habit of having to do everything 3 times lol But it's still my favorite number though lol :)

Kévy! LOL at the "Bree Van de Kamp" mention!! Who would've thought you watch Desperate Housewives AND remember their names? :))

  14. and I'm responding you here!! Yes well actually my russian should be fluent (my mom's russian) but unfortunatelly I don't have the practice! But I like it a lot as a language, it's so cool!:)
I guess S.Peters is like more... traditional and cultural (?correct me if I'm wrong) and Moscow is more for the contemporary art and design city (not to mention the nightlife.. how is it?!) I read few posts and oh.. you described so well the thing about being from Moscow: No other city is fast enough, huge enough.. I guess a city like that does make you feel STRONG and VERY DIFFERENT emototions about it..:)

  15. Oh and another thing.. it's really nice to play tourist in your own city (so if you ever come to Rome let me know, I'll take you around;) ) You get the chance to enjoy your city in a much different way;)
