No One Lives Forever

Or no one ever really dies? Glass half full or half empty? It's definately always half full for me, but let's get back to the topic! So, No One Lives Forever is this cool, now very old-skool though, video game I used to beat everyone's ass in! Actually, it's the only PC game I've ever been really good at AND finished (I played their second one too, but got stuck somewhere in Japan - in the game, not the actual country), so I'm definately thankful for it! I loved it because it was a perfect combination of a good shooter, a really good spy story and the character you were playing as was this super hot chick! Any video games you shine at?

  1. Before I ever busied myself with the internet and had my kids, it was Lara Croft's Tomb Raider on Play Station 1. I loved it and wouldn't put the game down. Those were the good ol' days :)

  2. I'm new to your blog, and can I just say, what a great idea? I too am totally a glass-half-full person who tries to see the silver lining in everything and that too is another thing I'm thankful for everyday (especially when comparing my general mood with glass-half-empty people). I'm also a Julia. Sunny dispositions must come with the name :)

  3. Arty, how cool! I've never even tried playing this one!

Julia, thank you! I would certainly like to think that whoever shares the same name with is also a glass-half-full person, so yay, nice to meet you :)

Unfurtunately I'm not very good at video games! But I totally agree with you, when it comes to the half full glass :D

  9. I'm not very good at video games, but I really enjoy my wii. Especially Wario's smooth moves, which has this silly game called Bungee Buddies, which I played once for the near entirety of a spring break...

  10. hum..i never really into games as too much homework n' study n' too little time to play..... I had to do something else other than sit there n' die so many times. hahahaha...
But I love playing video games whenever I was on. :)

Oh, good manner, yes, I second the good ritual here. I would feel grateful when someone opens the door for me when I am handful w/ kids, stroller, shopping bag ... in the rain especially!!

  11. Carrie, I feel so left out now, I dont even know what Atari is! lol

Ellinelle, I see your point! Although I guess it really depends on a person - some girls love video games more than some guys!

Caitlin, that's another one I haven't heard of lol

Pingu, half full glasses all the way!! :)

Leah, I haven't played any for a long while now though... Well, if only the Sims. I usually don't have enough patience to stick to one game for a long time and I get bored with most plots easily, so I guess that's the reason.

Cynthia, Wii is something I am yet to try!!

Rachel, well, having kids in the house must feel like a tough video game too haha Know what you mean about manners with this one!

  12. Wow I took a short break from blogging and look at all these interesting posts! It's always nice to catch up on your life, if only virtually :)

I've never heard of this game, but it sounds like the title of a James Bond movie, doesn't it? Julia the Video Game Sharpshooter... yet another side of your complex identity emerges.

  13. Graham, aw thank you!! It does sound like a James Bond movie, and the ame itself is similar to a Bond movie too :) I'm not that much of a video games person though haha
