On My Own

For the most part, someone who's always with somebody else doesn't grow personally as much as someone who's on their own a lot.

And with that being said, I want to say thank you for having to make a decision of parting ways with my then best friend some 8 years ago. I've naturally become more of a loner since, and even though it wasn't easy at first, it allowed me a chance to really open up to the world. I'm not going to get into the details of this mess of a friendship, but let's just say it could be compared to being in an abusive relationship. Thank you, Y., for being in my life, and thank you for making me let go of you too.

  1. It's always a good feeling to be able to be released from the shackles of an abusive relationship... it's a learning experience. And glad that you have moved on. Have a great weekend Julia! xoxo

  2. i agree, i think it's essential - especially between the ages of 15 and 30 - to really have the chance to grow on your own and discover who you are without the influence of someone else. especially if it's a relationship that probably won't last.

  8. I'm just now reading this post about being alone more often. I noticed that when I'm in a relationship (as an example), it limits the types of people I interact with and how I interact with them. So being single gives you more options for sure. In the same way, friends obligate your time when you could be out meeting new people or exploring individual curiosities.

I think overall we see this the same way. Here's to new opportunities, new people, and new adventures :)

  9. It's always hard to part with people, especially if you had a serious relationship. If you're thinking about Dating sites, why not check here? Here you can find not only a girl, but also a real beautiful bride. Of course, if you're interested. All over the world, Russian and Ukrainian girls are a symbol of femininity and beauty.
