I'm thankful for having some very unusual and unexpected life experiences (the memories are fantastic) that are not so common among people from my walk of life and definately not common among people my age. My favorites would have to be me assisting in helping a cow deliver her calf baby and my pilgrimage trip through a few Russia’s holy towns (especially so since I am not religious at all). Yes, I'm pretty crazy if you're wondering (I'm smiling as I type this). Any unusual experiences you're willing to openly share on the internet? No?
Sometimes the unusual stuff shapes us more than we think! I'm grateful for those too (I guess I've had a few odd things happen abroad, perhaps I'll share as soon as I'm comfy! :))
ReplyDeleteI'm back after a long absence and I was so happy to read your lovely latest post, it is so important to experience things outside of our normal lives,my parents all encouraged me to try EVERYTHING once!! xx
ReplyDeleteWow..helping a cow delivering a calf i.e. so uncommon and of course, its fantastic deed. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt is a truly something to be thankful for - having intesting experiences in childhood.
ReplyDeletewow! that must be something.
ReplyDeletehumm experiences... i slept in a barn on the last Easter vacations ... and those days when i walked alone in cities which i don't know. Feels quite weird but i also felt some freedom :)
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for people who unexpectedly cross paths has enriched me personally, people that makes me happy doing nothing, people who makes me smile and I served as an incentive to have further reason to continue everyday.

ReplyDelete..I have some crazy things I have done , one of them was moving to the UK like in a week ..crazy !
i agree, visiting religious places can be quite and experience. even if you're not religious, there's a different aura that just seeps into you.
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of your blog! Actively taking a moment out of each day to think about something you're thankful for is something more people should do. A little positive thinking never hurt anybody!
ReplyDeleteYou have had some interesting life experiences! The cow experience raised an eyebrow and the Russia trip sounds amazing.
I would say that having lived in West Africa for three months (at the age of 18 that was all I could handle away from family and friends!) is one life experience that I am thankful to have had! There are more but that is the first that came to mind.
