Food Appreciation Week, the Roundup

Thanks to all who participated in the Food Appreciation Week! Here's the roundup of foods the community has given thanks for

meals, meats & etc.: quesadillas, chicken, biriyani, smoked salmon, tuna, mushrooms

vegetables: tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, lettuce, beetroot

fruit & berries: apples, pears, peaches, cranberries

sweets: ice cream, chocolate

cheeses: Gouda Robusto, mozzarella, mascarpone, tilsiter, feta, brinza

Plus, there's a mini food appreciation list from a community member's 3 year old daughter! She put banana, cake, soup, bread, ice-cream and nuts on hers (and she meant eating it all at once!)

Anything else you would add?

  3. I definitely love the idea of food appreciation, often we do not realise how thankful we should be to live in our respective countries, eating the delicious food of our nation. ;)

  15. WOW I wish my four year old sister had a menu as rich as the little girl one:) I think she would probably be very thankful only for white bread and milk.. that is basically all she eats (yes we are having big wars with her and her bad eating habits..) Talking about this I remembered how I used to eat only french fries at the restaurant.. This until I was 14 years old :S I thank God I grew up, finally! here's my food thankful list: green olives, octopus and tartufo (the special black mushroom).

PS! you know your comment about your morning menu inspired me a lot. The seasonal menu is very clever, know that I'm about to go to live on my own I'll have the perfect chance to try it out myself too! Do you eat mango because it is good for body as it gives a lot of energy and vitamins or simply because you love it? :)

  22. by the way! I meant to address when you told me you're caring for your Grandma. Um, you're my hero. From the people I've heard who full time stay with a family member, it is really hard and such a selfless act. I hope you are taking care of yourself as well! Seriously, I really think that's so sweet and commendable of you~!! I hope shopping was fun!
