The Ultimate Thanking Word

A few months ago I ran a poll on TTYP's Facebook page asking what word was the thanking word of choice among poll participants. At first, "thankful" was leading, then, as more people were casting their votes, "grateful" became the "winning" one. The final results are as follows:

Thankful? Grateful? Appreciative? What do you prefer?

  3. Ooo, I think grateful is all-encompassing! I really think it recognizes the act and the feeling of appreciation that you get when someone does something kind for you. Definitely grateful.

    Have a great weekend!

  4. I'd say that I alternate back and forth between thankful and grateful, but grateful would probably win.

  7. Cool post! I would have thought "Thankful" would have been the most used word. I guess I will have to start using "grateful" from now on.
