Fish Eggs

What I like about living in Russia is that you can eat enough of caviar - it's much cheaper here than in most other world countries. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  1. OH.MY.GOD. I'm so insanely jealous of you and your abundance of fish eggs!!! I think I may move there now...

Russia's a long way from home! Well, assuming home is in the US! Is it as cold as all the stereotypes make it out to be?

  2. Haha, I wouldn't really say "abundance" though, it's still not the cheapest thing... It is cheap only in comparison to the price tag elsewhere ;)

Well, some winters are really cold, some are really not. Summers can get way too hot. We have all 4 seasons, just that summers don't usually feel that long. But even then it depends on the region of Russia, 'cause some are way colder than the others. We even have cities with palm trees here too ;)

  3. ..I love it sooo much , we call it 'ikri' in my original language ..I think it's 'ikra' in russian , is it ? my head not very good today : )
here in England it is expansive . also in Latvia they are not cheap , but I don't really like shop versions ,because they always very dry and too salty ..I can be very thankful to my granny because she makes the fresh ones and it just HEAVEN , and so easy to prepare , just need to pour boiling water on the 'bag' and seperate them , then add salt ..then they are perfect , so poppy and fresh ..
..well , I have craving now to think about : )))
