Well, just like I said, I coudn't promise you no more posting about chairs... And the whole Pharrell's chain thing totally reminded me of my encounter with his Perspective's chairs at the Emmanuel Perrotin Gallery in Paris. I remember I really wanted to see the chairs in person when I saw the first photos of them... And how awesome was it to find out they were right there on display when I was in town! I was definately thankful and I still am. How do you like the chairs?
Very cool!
ReplyDeleteI love these chairs... so fun and so creative. xoxo
ReplyDeletethese chairs made me smile. thanks for sharing julia!

In a first time, I wasn't too sensible, then I just saw these chairs from differents angles(pictures), as if I had needed some time to appreciate them. You know, the same thing when you sometimes listen a song and you only like it after some real listening... Finally, I like the sensuality emanate from these chairs!
ReplyDeleteI love your chair posts! As an intern architect I can't afford all of the designer pieces I want, but feel like chairs are often worth the splurge for their timelessness and practicality.
ReplyDeleteGuillaume, I definately know what you mean! And well, I can perfectly see why those chairs might not be appreciated by everyone.
ReplyDeleteGirls of Innovate (not sure which one of you commented? Liz? Tara? :)) - thanks! Really glad you like the chair posts! I've been thinking about the whole 'investing' in chairs idea a lot lately... I guess if the piece is good enough it's worth the money. I hope so :) haha
those chairs are crazy, i love it!

It was Elizabeth! Though our interest are basically synonymous, I'm the architect one, she's the fabulous fashion one, and we both love your blog and appreciate your comments on ours.
ReplyDeleteOn a personal note- I've been meaning to let you know how encouraging your positive blog has been lately through some stressful days! Thanks and keep it up!
That IS a pretty crazy coincidence.
ReplyDeleteWhat's more, I came over to your blog to share a link with you of his chairs. I guess you won't need that!
The limb chairs are awesome. I don't care for his tank chairs nearly as much (http://vimeo.com/9008758). Overall it's nice to see him move into other creative areas.
wow, very different, very bold.
ReplyDeletehahah "I couldn't promise no more posts about chairs"- do you watch Sex and the City? Reminds me of "I was told there would be no clowns..." haha. Very interesting! I love eye candy like this.

ReplyDeleteCaitlin, I can't say I watch it, but I've seen various episodes in no particular order and some of them 2-3 times... lol
Savvy Gal, yes! I guess if I had all of the chairs I like in my house people would think I'm some perverted chair fetishist haha
Graham, cool, huh? :D Especially since I'm not nearly as much a fan of the new chairs as I am of his first work... And you're the same.
