Flowers

I had a bit of an occupation change today at the office - had to help arrange (or rather arrange than help) flower bouquets for the upcoming Women's Day here in Russia (March 8th), and dealing with flowers made me think of this one super nice looking bouquet I had delivered to me to my workplace last year... from the anonymous, uhm, admirer. All this time later, I'm still thankful for it. I actually think it's the coolest looking bouquet I've ever gotten.

  1. what lovely flowers. I agree with you about the same 2 scarves for the DIY Hermes dress but I don't want to buy 2 identical scarves unless I absolutely adore the dress. : )

  5. ..8th of march ..how familiar is that : ))) all the women walking around with flowers and men too, to give them to their ladies and all the ladies perhaps , I think that's why this day is special because it's not just for lovers or mothers but all the ladies around ..for me this day associates with cold weather and tulips ,like it's in old russian movies : )oh yes , and also I remember my grandad every year bringing for my granny pot of azalea,so nice memories for me..it's supposted to be international womens day but here nobody really celebrates this day , I think it's wonderful to keep this tradition ..
..well Julia you had a wonderful flowers last year and I think you can exspect this year as well , maybe this time with little note : )
.. maube it's boss lusting after you : )))he he

  11. You are certainly deserving of admirers, and I'm sure you have many. As beautiful as these flowers are, they could not compare to the joy you must have given your admirer, no doubt.

  12. Khatu, definately makes you feel special, true!

jeune_premier, this is true most of the time! However, I realize that when I'm not that much into a guy him giving me flowers makes me feel kind of awkward...

Arty, thanks! And I know who that was :)

Ellinelle, I know! Practically no one even knows about the holiday, so I think what they menat by "international" is it just being a holiday for all the nations within the Soviet Union, not the whole world. And the bouquet had a note with it, but it wasn't signed, and it wasn't for *th of March... was just because, which makes it so much better :) And no, this was not my boss! (my boss is a woman anyway haha)

Leah, I did! Took some time, but I figured it out lol

Peter, well, you can always do a flower exchnage thing with a friend - then it'll be easier to be surprised since you don't know what flowers they'd pick! lol

Graham, awwwwwww thank you so much!..
