A while back I was doing a series of thankful posts on my favorite songs and music videos. A few days ago when Christina Aguilera's "Genie in a Bottle" came up on my iPhone I realized I forgot to post about it. I do consider it one of my very few all time favorites - whenever I hear it starting to play I listen and don't rewind, if the video comes up on TV I would never switch off. It's like I can listen to it regardless of my mood at the time. Funny fact is that when the song came out I was a lot more into the alternative music and I used to really dislike Christina, but I loved the song. And still do.
P.S. I couldn't be thankful enough for all your amazing comments and support in the past days, THANK YOU guys!
there's always a song that can cheer you up no matter what. i am trying to think of mine.. but there's so many! i love that this is yours!
ReplyDeleteYou know what other thing helps sometimes? Just a good hug, the one you need but don't expect and then suddenly someone surprises you with it and then it all kinda gets better!
ReplyDeleteAnd talking about Christina.. and music.. and partying.. (notice how smoothly I'm trying to linger back to our topic about clubbing and travel, my mistake not responding you right away, lol) I've heard Moscow nightlife is absolutelly crazy! Like not crazy for how much fun it is but because it's so bizarre... I think I understand you not liking it so much. In a big city it's quite hard to find your own thing and the type of nightlife you really LIKE and ENJOY. I haven't yet here in Rome, I change my places all the time and still not satisfied.. I dream of Paris for example.. the chic lounge culture is top of the top there (in my opinion and imagination as I still haven't been there :S shame on me).
But mm.. Hope YOU are better... remember me thanking for the teenage years being passed.. sometimes my mood plays tricks on me and I become a teenager again, like today. But it's better to take it with humour;)
(ok it got WAY TOO LONG!) sending you a hug.
I am curious to see if your theory is correct. Very interesting blog!
ReplyDeleteHer face reminds me so much of my nieces each time, it's amazing. She looks so much younger here without all that makeup and styling.

This song, I've never heard of before but it's very nice. :)
how cool it is when you turn on the radio or your tv and you hear a song that marked a period of your life, or a song that reminds you of a great night? I certainly can’t help to smile, you go back to that time and mood, it’s the ultimate déjà vu!!
