Hormones

I'm so thankful I'm not a teenager any more. Every time I see a group of teens or tweens out and about, giggling out loud incontrollably, exchanging all sorts of rude remarks or just looking like they hate the whole world, I'm just so glad I'm not part of that. I mean, everything's only good in moderation, right?

  1. You are so right, I feel for my two teenage sons who have moments where I can almost see the hormones surging around their bodies. Poor chaps, but they'll survive.xx

  2. Ohhhh yes! You are so damn right! I really feel a big relief about it cause thinking back in years and how the world seemed to me gives me goosebumps! I wasn't much of a rebel or anything, mad with the world and hating my parents, no not at all.. though everything seemed so difficult and I had these huge mood changes.. life was a non-stop ride on emotions roller coaster, geez was that stressful and I do thank for having it pass me almost every day:)

  3. I agree with you. I'm just glad that my teenagers are grounded and since they are boys, they are more reserved. Have a great day Julia! xoxo

  7. Oh true that, Thanksgiving Girl! You know, I distinctly recall--WHEN I was a teenager--thinking about how obnoxious we were as a group. So glad that's far behind me!

  9. Goodness, yes! I remember being up, down, side-to-side and just all over the place in my teens. So happy I've mellowed out considerably now.

  11. ..well ,the thing about teens are that they think they know everything , but they don't ..they think they more clever then parents ..I'm happy I have learned a lot since then , I was actually very quite teen , no rebel , but the hormones did the job sometimes : ) anyway , I think there is also some good things , I don't know , things like scool and no worries in the world ..

  12. Ellinelle, depends on what kind of a teen one was! For a rebel there's always enough of things to worry about :)

  13. I heard someone say, "When you're a teenager, you have all the answers, and yet you don't even know the questions."

One thing I miss about being a teenager: my naivete about love. Romance was more daring, and you could THROW your entire being at someone with no cynicism. Now I'm so jaded I'm not even sure I can fall in love quite like that again. I don't know, what do you think?

  14. Graham, love the quote, it's true for a lot of teens... The other half probably has a lot of questions and no answers at all (the depressed half lol)

As for romance, it's true what you say about love and teenagers - I guess it's beautiful in its novelty and naivety. Although I'm afraid for me it's always been different - whatever I do I enjoy doing more once I'm experienced at it, esp. when it comes to relationships. So I woudn't want to go back to that... I think if I am to fall in love any time soon I'd rather do it at least somewhat willingly and knowingly. Maybe it's just my inner fear of getting hurt or something speaking though :) But isn't it better when you feel you can be at least partly responcible for your feelings and emotions? Or am I being completely un-romantic or what?
