Be Smart & Have the Balls

On my way home from work yesterday I got caught in a pouring rain. And if you've been thankful with me for a while and remember those other funny work related things that happened to me this year (like this one time I ended up being bare legged at work or had my butt covered in chocolate), I'm guessing you anticipate another funny tale. You're not going to be dissapointed, and this time I even have a picture!
.
So, I got caught in a pouring rain and I absolutely couldn't bear a thought of my shoes getting wet, so I just bought two plastic grocery bags and put them on my feet and walked home like that... making quite a few passerbies smile, as you can imagine!.. Thanks universe for putting me near a grocery store at the time when it started raining heavily!

  2. Great one Julia. Why not go bare footed in the rain? :) It would have felt great!

  5. LOVE LOVE LOVE that photo- what a great capture/eye etc.

I also would not have walked bare foot in the city- that's just gross- bags are a great idea though!

  6. You are such a trooper... smart move lady. Although it takes a lot of guts to be able to pull the grocery bag look off. I adore your confidence. xoxo

  10. ..that is addorable : ) honestly , it's so cool ..I can totally understand you , sometimes rain really ruining the shoes ..but for me - I take off my shoes when it rains and I will go through every puddle : ) that is what I love about Riga , it's perfectly normal here to act like that ..but in other situations I would use the bags as well ..

..that picture of the seaside is different part of Latvia's seaside , it's not in Jurmala town, but I have been there as well and will post pictures any time soon , the New Wave stars already arriving ..Jurmala's beach is super busy , even at 10 o'clock night time ..and actually every beach can call Jurmala in Lv , because it means Jura- sea , mala - side , so it's actually Seaside and yes , one town as well ..

..have a great day Julia , enjoy the HOT summer ..
    Hugs

  12. well not only do I love that you are so resourceful but I love how amazing this image is with the skyscrapers in the puddle. How cool is that???? PS my state is about to ban plastic bags because they're not economically sound...it will be weird!

  13. Haha my sandal broke while walking around in the center of my city in the dead of night a few weeks ago. I retrieved a piece of plastic and tied it around the sandal and my foot and walked/took the subway home. Resourceful, sustainable, and drew plenty of smiles, I know exactly how you feel!
