When I was doing my 365 thanks year, I gave enough of thanks for various food related things, and the other day I was just wondering what specific types of food I had on my thankful menu - here it is:
- berries and berries + mascarpone
- tiramisu
- rice
- mangos
- chocolate (but of course!) and Lindt chocolate in particular
- Starbucks' Americano coffee and cheesecakes (which also happenes to be my second post on this blog!)
- wine
- sushi
- caviar
Mmmhmm, most of my favorite foods are right here! But I guess it's no suprise! What foods are you thankful for and would add to YOUR thankful menus?*
P.S. * I kind of like the idea of such thing as a thankful menu!.. Humm!
i love the amount of sweets on this list :) do you eat meat? you have fish, well raw fish on the list. was just wondering.
ReplyDeletemy list is super similar, will probably also include red bell peppers, i have been addicted to those lately and granola.
peabut butter is a life saver there i dont have time to cook breakfast.
oatmeal- it is such a good old fashion easy meal- my monkeys sometimes eat it for lunch on the weekends when they are busy playing inside and don't want to come in to eat- quick to make quick to eat and it sticks to your bones and keeps you full for a long time, has so much fiber and low fat!
ReplyDeleteyou are adorable! i am thankful for sushi, red wine (merlot specifically), chocolates (oh how i love lindt too!) and starbucks coffee!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wowww Lindt chocolate, I'm craving for some right now!
ReplyDeleteMy thankful menu? That would be at least 5 pages, hahaha. Thank you for reminding us to be thankful! :-)
what a cute way to put it together! I love that you called it a "menu" :) Yum, I love your list though I can't say I've tried caviar- just never taken the plunge. I adore Starbuck's Americanos, they get me through my life and rice is always a favorite (sadly, to me it's best with butter and salt and pepper). My thankful menu would definitely include chicken and peppercini, I can't seem to get enough of either of those... ooo, and asparagus and artichokes!
ReplyDelete..reading all that above made me hungry :) and talking about food , at the moment I can't get enough of pomegranate - they are so juicy , my favorite food/fruit at the moment ..
ReplyDeletehmmm , I have few more products on my shopping list from your menu now :)
Mmmm yum!! I agree with your choices, mostly the berries! Any type of berry I love!! Extravagantly enough I am always thankful for Lobster in the summer.....I die for lobster ;)
ReplyDeletetake out the tiramisu and add in cookie dough and you have my list!
ReplyDeleteI'd add, Strawberry Cheesecake, Ice cream and Chocolates.
ReplyDeleteChocolate and peanut butter...two of my favorite things!
ReplyDeletePopcorn- especially the movie theater variety
ReplyDeleteNutella- especially in a crepe with bananas
Mangoes (totally feel you on that one)- sweet and sour together- 'nuff said:)
and finally Quinoa- because it is super-healthy and super-yummy at the same time. Brilliant really.
PS - Thank you for complimenting me on my name! haha! I always thought my last name sounded so weird, but I've grown into it now ;)
ReplyDeleteOoooh...I love Lindt chocolate! It used to be my ultimate favorite until Royce came along haha.
ReplyDeleteBut, yes, food is something to be always thankful for!
I think I would add toast with butter and strawberry jam ;)
Yummy!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for espresso :)
xoxox,

hm..... some of my favorite food.
ReplyDeleteYumYum sounds delicious! My fav food is everything that has to do with gruel.. Oatmeal..Rice. Baby food actually ahha.
ReplyDelete@Anna: Yes, I do eat meat! And cooked fish too :) Just that most of the time I would choose seafood over meat. I must say that the list doesn't include some of the other foods I really like, but it's the list compiled of the things I specifically mentioned and gave specific thanks for during my thanksgiving year! And I love bell eppers too!! Yellow are my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteVery yummy!
ReplyDeleteWe like the same things! :) But I am thankful for coffee (for busy days, when I need a little oomph!) and chocolates (for stressful days, when I need a little pick me upper!) most of all :)
