Thankful Wednesday?
What an awesome day has been sent my way today!
First, it was supposed to be the day when I officially 'acknowledged' my dear Caitlin's tribute post where I was honored to have been mentioned, and mentioned in such an incredibly heartwarming way. Caitie wrote it long ago, and I'm still wondering just how come I missed THIS (there are photos there as well, come take a look):
“ ...Late in 2009, I stumbled upon a Blog written by a Russian girl. I was instantly attracted to The Thank You Project as the author, Julia, had embarked on a journey to find something to be thankful for every day for a year. I seriously couldn't get enough of her posts - she made me think differently about my world.
That was then and here we are today almost 2 years later and we still have blog interactions regularly. When she was podcast on an Australian radio channel due to her drive to 'be thankful', I poured a glass of Pinot Noir and listened to it on my computer. I value what she has to say. ”
Next thing I know, I come home in the evening and find even more beauty and kindness awaiting me! First it's the lovely feature on the Fanx' Blog by Mitch and then it's a sweet tweet from a fellow thankful person and a new follower Laura Faulkner of ThankfulForThisDay website.
Definitely an incredible stuff to come home to. Thank you all so much, you truly made my day!..

A Lady and a 'Thank You' in Real Simple Magazine
My Lady and a 'Thank You' is getting all famous! If you followed the story from the beginning, you might remember the original post about the encounter itself, the follow-up with your opinions on the situation and my quest for truth. As part of said quest, I turned to Real Simple for help, and they ended up featuring the question in the September issue of their magazine, both in print and online. Albeit the initial question was changed to the extent of being unrecognizable, I am still happy for the Lady and a 'Thank You'! Thank you, Real Simple!

Encyclopedia of Gratitude
Being the thankful person that I am, of course I had to jump on the bandwagon and submit a post to the Encyclopedia of Gratitude project by writer Erich Origen - you can see my submission by clicking the picture below.
Originally, I felt the urge to send a short piece inspired by my own thankful post from my thanksgiving year, but seeing how other posts on the website were much longer, I thought I had to fit in and sent in a longer piece.
Turns out, we should really trust our initial gut feelings. I have been sent a notification email which said that "the editors kept the sentiment you expressed at the beginning, feeling that simple thought alone could not be improved upon by adding anything else."
The post has also been enhanced by the editors with a picture and a song.

Listen: My Interview With Australian Radio FM99.3
Took me some time, but I think I've found a really good way to upload my Breakfast In Bed radio show interview and it is via YourListen! I kind of like it how their color scheme is so in line with that of North Shore's FM99.3, however, this is not why I chose them and the color coordination wasn't on purpose!.. Just a little extra something to smile about it.
Here's the interview, please enjoy if you listen and don't hold back sharing your feedback! I believe I can handle some constructive critisism if needed, ha!..
P.S. I have permission from Breakfast In Bed radio show's host to upload and distribute the above recording via my blog. All rights reserved.

If you're located in Australia tune in to FM99.3 this Sunday at 9:30 am (Sydney time) to hear me speak on The 'Thank You' Project and the upcoming thankful book.

I am totally curious to hear what I sound like on the radio and totally curious to hear your thoughts on it too, so don't be shy to stop by and share your feedback once it's all done! Big thanks to Karen of Breakfast In Bed for making it happen, and I'll "see" you all on Sunday!
